For those of you who are unfamiliar, garlic scapes are the flower stalk that is sent up by hard-neck garlic varieties about a month or so before the bulb is ready for harvest. Garlic scapes are packed full of delicious garlic flavour and can be used in all kinds of ways. We love to use it in our mustard to add another dimension of flavour.
We make our mustards the old-fashioned way with whole mustard seeds.
Contains: Locally grown garlic scapes, whole mustard seeds, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and spices.
Our favourite ways to use mustard:
- Slathered on meat, fish and vegetables before grilling
- As an accompaniment to meat dishes
- Stirred into sauces
- Added to vinaigrette
- Spread on the bread before making your favourite grilled cheese sandwich
